TAYARI (Tanzania Adolescent and Young Adult Network Regarding Implementation Science) was formed to unite youth representatives, government leaders, PEPFAR partners, implementing organizations, and researchers around a shared agenda to improve HIV outcomes for adolescents and young adults in Tanzania. The network addresses the persistent gap between evidence and practice, particularly in the implementation of effective HIV prevention, treatment, and mental health interventions. Despite advances in HIV science, youth continue to have low uptake of prevention services, suboptimal viral suppression, and limited access to integrated mental health care. Through stakeholder engagement, implementation science training, and cross-sector collaboration, TAYARI aims to accelerate the translation of evidence-based interventions into sustainable, youth-centered programs and policies.
